Leaders from an ASAL county are reported to be increasingly getting uncomfortable with a deputy governor whose profile has been on a meteoric rise since the last election. The region's leaders were surprised when a top politico recently visited the region and several times referred to the deputy county chief as 'Super DG' during his entire speech. This was despite the fact that the man was not present at the meeting. The accolades, Corridors of Power has learnt, have irked the region which is facing an imminent complex succession matrix ahead of the 2027 elections.
