Top traffic police officers manning major routes are seemingly fed up with the conduct of some government officials who are using their powers to allegedly break traffic rules. Sources reveal that whenever they are stopped, they claim they have been summoned to a meeting with the President. Some even use sirens to go for lunch, meet friends in hotels and all manner of things. The cops now want President William Ruto to issue a directive to ensure only he and his deputy should have escort. The officers want those in hurry to start their journey in time.

The lawmaker, who has not been seeing eye to eye with one of the replaced officials, has been narrating to his colleagues how he endured frustration at the hands of the official. He claimed that he almost lost the party ticket in the run-up to the August 9 general election due to interference by some officials. The man is now planning to build a good rapport with the current leadership to avoid similar frustration in the 2027 polls.
