A long-serving lawmaker from the North Rift is supposedly being ridiculed for selling his house upcountry to fund his campaigns, and now spends most of the time at his in-laws. The man is said to have given his supporters a wide berth soon after winning the election. Infuriated supporters whom he used to entertain in Parliament’s Members Restaurant feel betrayed and are now baying for his blood. They say the man has used them to win elections so many times and has now disappeared. Many are wondering how the senior lawmaker could purportedly get broke even after being in Parliament for too long.
