Just why are traffic officers on Juja Road in Nairobi allegedly abetting mayhem and harassment meted by matatu drivers on other road users? The busy road has apparently become a ground for lawlessness as matatu drivers overlap, bully other motorists and knock cars. Shockingly, they are allegedly doing this in the full glare of the traffic officers who are supposed to enforce law and order. Early this week, an irked private car owner loudly protested the apparent police inaction after his car was hit by one of the matatus.
