A gambling spot is at the centre of conflict among senior police officers in Nairobi. Recently, a nasty scene unfolded outside the upscale lottery venue when officers clashed openly following a confrontation outside. While one team of security enforcers wanted the site closed for violating Covid-19 protocols, the other came to its defence. The situation raised concerns whether or not some senior officers had been compromised. Although some operators were arrested, they were later released under controversial circumstances. The suspects would later boast they will never be arraigned as they enjoy unfettered protection. Over to you, police boss Hillary Mutyambai (pictured).

An MP eyeing a higher political seat in the coming 2022 elections has vowed to relocate the county offices if he is elected in the next year’s polls. Why? The lawmaker claims that the outgoing Western governor chose a brothel as the county’s 'headquarters' when he took office. The place was initially a bar and brothel that provided a good rendezvous point for lovebirds out to enjoy themselves. The MP who is a front-runner in the race said he will ensure the county headquarters is relocated within 100 days. He has claimed that the history of the venue could be the cause of all the problems bedevilling the devolved unit.
