The heightened tempo by EACC on historical corruption and the so called Big Fish is giving the culprits sleepless nights. Others have resorted to underground tactics to slow down the process by using other state agencies to divert the focus of EACC on corrupt people. The commission is now keen on one parastatal that is said to have been using public money to bribe other agencies to give it a clean bill of health.

Tension has arisen in Kitengela after a female politician in the Jubilee coalition allegedly sent a young man to buy 30 Maasai swords from a supermarket in preparation the Saba Saba Day. Residents who were in the supermarket were so agitated that the man was arrested and taken to an unknown destination.

Cord co-principals Moses Wetang'ula and Kalonzo Musyoka and Siaya Senator James Orengo on Thursday stood in the middle of the road passing through Uhuru Park causing traffic chaos. The three Cord leaders had just arrived at the Uhuru Park to inspect the venue for the Saba Saba rally and they decided to wait for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Motorists plying the route were wondering why the three could not stand near the podium. Motorists are however not allowed to drive through Uhuru Park, although many defy the prohibition.

Parents of Wandiji Primary School in Homa Bay county want Education Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi to intervene over what they term malpractices in the school. A parent told Corridors that the public school has been charging nursery school children money yet education is free and compulsory. The irritated parent said the school chases away children who do not pay the fees, which is contrary to the government directive. They are also concerned with the prep the school is carrying out in the night yet it has no electricity.
