Residents of a county in Central region are unhappy with their governor over what they say is his open favouritism for the people from his home constituency. Residents of neighbouring constituencies lament that they have allegedly been abandoned by county boss, whom they say behaves as if he is the governor of his home area only. According to the disenchanted residents, mostly farmers, all resources from the county government seem to be directed to the governor’s home constituency.

An MP from Western Kenya is a wanted man. The lawmaker is allegedly being pursued by several businessmen in his constituency over “soft loans” he received from them during the 2022 campaign period. The MP is said to have declined to repay the money running into millions of shillings and has been taking the businessmen in circles. The MP has purportedly avoided going to the constituency and was last seen in his rural home in December last year.

The honeymoon appears to be over for a governor, woman rep and the senator from a county in Eastern. The three, who campaigned together in 2022, no longer see eye-to-eye. It is now eight months since the governor, the woman rep and the senator were seen together unlike in the past when they would move in lock step from Monday to Sunday. Word is that the three parted ways after disagreement over a lucrative county tender.
