A first-term woman legislator in Mt Kenya eyeing a governorship has been told to go slow on her ambitions. An insider said a male politician also eyeing the seat sent an emissary to tell the first-term parliamentarian to consider seeking reelection instead. The man is said to have told the woman that she needs to have deep pockets and a lot of experience to tackle moneyed men who are readying for an all-out war to win the top county seat.
