A County Public Service Board in Western is on the spot for alleged nepotism, hiring of girlfriends and corruption. The board secretary has apparently shortlisted his second-born son, a nephew and long-term mpango wa kando. Interestingly, the firstborn son is also said to work in the county in a job group higher than what was advertised. One of the board members apparently also has a daughter in the shortlist. The other two have relatives while many others are said to have 'sold' their chances. While the region has always boasted of playing a significant role in getting devolution in the Constitution, it would appear the system is only benefiting a greedy few.
