Outgoing Chief Administrative Secretary David Osiany has revealed he will be passing on a baton to seven new nominees.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Osiany said his close friends were referring him to a 'super CAS' since he was to hand over his previous role to seven nominees.
This is after President William Ruto nominated former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero, Vincent Mogaka and Lilian Tomitom to replace Osiany as CASs for the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
As for the Ministry of EAC, ASALs and Regional Development where Osiany was serving in an acting capacity, he will also be replaced by two nominees.
Mwanamaka Maruki and Rael Lelei, if approved by parliament, will serve as CASs for EAC, ASALs and Regional Development.
Margaret Wanjiru and Amos Mugo will serve as CASs for the Ministry of Corporative & MSMEs if approved by parliament.
Osiany was appointed by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta to serve as CAS for the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise development.
When Ken Obura resigned to vie for the Kisumu Gubernatorial seat, Osianyo was appointed by Uhuru to serve in an acting capacity as CAS for East African Commission and Regional Development.
Having been CAS for Ministry of Industrialization, Trade & Enterprise Dev’t as well as acting CAS at EAC & Regional Dev’t where my CS @maina_betty was holding fort after @AdanMohamedCS & CAS Ken Obura left to run for office, I now pass the baton to the following 7 CASs: 1/5 pic.twitter.com/6zhBW11bMv

During Uhuru's tenure, the Ministry of Corporatives & MSMEs and that of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development were under Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
When President William Ruto took over power, he separated the entities and made the Ministry of Corporative and MSMEs in which he appointed Simon Chelugui.
The nominees will now be vetted by the National Assembly before being appointed by the President.
Their roles entail responding to issues touching on the portfolio assigned to the office and providing liaison with the bicameral Parliament and county governments on matters of concurrent mandate and common interest.
