Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has said that Kenyans should be on high alert after reports that scammers were conning innocent Kenyans using his name.

In a statement on Sunday, Natembeya said that Kenyans should ignore impersonators who are promising them fake jobs.

"It has come to my attention that many innocent Kenyans are being conned and duped in my name by criminals impersonating me. Kindly I wish to warn the public to ignore those who are soliciting money in my name and promising them job opportunities and any other favours," he said.
