Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua has said that Kenya is experiencing the worst reign of terror with the Kenya Kwanza government.

Speaking on Thursday, she said that what had befallen former Interior CS Fred Matiang'i was meant to spread terror to people.

"Raiding Matiangi’s house gangster style meant to spread a cloud of terror on all persons out of favour with the UDA regime," Karua said.

It is alleged that police on Wednesday night raided former Matiang'i's home in Nairobi.

Elite police officers arrived and surrounded his Karen home to arrest him for unspecified reasons.

The Former CS said he had learnt of the planned raid earlier in the day.

He defended himself from any wrongdoing saying he left the government a clean man.

Karua however, called on Kenyans to resist the act of terror and uphold the constitution.

"All Kenyans of goodwill must resist this. The constitution is not suspended and cannot be wished away," she said.

Azimio La Umoja spokesman Makau Mutua said such acts were the reasons Azimio was holding the anti-Ruto rallies.

“Such actions are not from a legit government. If Kenya Kwanza was the legit government, why use such an act?’ he posed.

Makau said the action to arrest Matiang’I was the ‘signal’ they needed and as a result, he said that President William Ruto should resign.

EACC has denied any involvement in the raid.
