Embakasi East MP Babu Owino now wants President William Ruto to focus on development in the Nyanza region, ahead of his planned visit.
Owino listed a number of issues that he wants Ruto to address on his two-day trip to the region.
"KICOMI in Kisumu and Coffee Factories in Kisii County must be revived. Fish factories must be set up in Homabay and Kisumu counties," he tweeted.
The lawmaker further urged Ruto to revive Chemelil, Muhoroni, and Sony Sugar factories.
He said developments in the region should also employ local manpower.
"Roads must be constructed in Nyanza and jobs must be given to the youth, men and women. The Great People of Nyanza have been paying taxes religiously and spiritedly and must be given goods and services they deserve," he said.
