Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga has told President William Ruto that despite Luo Nyanza's support for Azimio, the region is ready to work with him.

The governor said the region and its political leadership will work closely with President Ruto's administration for the sake of development.

"There are no people of Homa Bay and people of Kenya, these are all the people of Kenya and we must partner and work for all the people who elected us," Wanga said.

“We are Azimionated to the core and we are Baba's people but we thank you that you have agreed as the President of the nation so that we can work together for development.”

Wanga requested the President to consider professionals from the region for appointments in government.

“We are solid behind baba(Raila)and we are his people but we that you so much for coming and standing with us for development,” she said.

Luo Nyanza is Raila's political base.
