At least 11,000 youths in Nairobi will be employed next month to participate in the tree-planting programme.
This was announced by President William Ruto who spoke at the Jamhuri Day celebrations at Nyayo Stadium on Monday.
He said his government will work closely with the Nairobi county government to ensure that the tree-planting exercise starts in the beginning of 2023.
