Sir Elton John says he has quit Twitter over its recent change in policy.
The musician made the revelation in a tweet on Friday saying the new changes have paved way for misinformation to flourish contrary to his goal of uniting the world through music.
"All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together. Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world," Elton said.
"I’ve decided to no longer use Twitter, given their recent change in policy which will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked," he added.
Owner and CEO Elon Musk responded to the tweet asking whether there was anything in particular that was of concern.
