Two men have been charged at a Kibera court for allegedly obtaining Sh2.1 million from two Kenyans after promising them that they were in a position to sell her liquid fertilizer.
The two Kopmeyer Kale Namanda and Moses Ndirangu were charged before Kibera chief magistrate Ann Mwangi where they denied the charges.
The charge sheet says that the two committed the offence on diverse dates between October 24 and November 21 in Nairobi County.
They are charged with others, not before the court.
They were also charged with the second count of obtaining a tune of Sh1.5 million from another complainant, Fidelis Ekisa on the same ground just the way they obtained from Edith Ekisa from the first count.
The court however heard that the accused persons were in talks with the complainants to try and solve the matter out of court.
Through their lawyers, they asked the court to release them on Sh50,000 cash bail.
The prosecution did not object to their release on the said amount and told the court that it was aware of the negotiations that were ongoing.
The magistrate released the Sh50,000 cash bail and directed that the matter be mentioned early next month for further directions.
