An eight-storey building which collapsed while under construction at Kwa-Ndege in Tassia, Embakasi is currently being demolished. 

The rescue operations team is currently on site.

It hosted businesses on the ground floor. 

The building collapsed on November 7, with the ground floor and the first floor heavily affected. 

"When the building started collapsing, people moved away," a witness said.

In September, two people were killed and seven rescued after a six-storey building under construction collapsed in Kirigiti, Kiambu.

The house collapsed on a residential house below it trapping some of the occupants.

In August, another four-storey building collapsed at Infinity Area in Mwiki Estate, Kasarani. 

This is the third building to collapse in three months.
