The police service has issued a warning to motorists using modified or unauthorised lights on their vehicles.
In a statement on Friday, spokesperson Bruno Shioso said the lights are endangering the lives of other road users.
"Through this, all motor vehicle owners are advised to adhere to the requirements of the law to avoid any inconveniences," Shioso said.
He said the categories of lights that are not permitted for use on private vehicles, public service vehicles, Tuk Tuks, trailers, trucks and motorcycles include red and blue illuminating lights and sirens.
Others are opaque lights, modified illuminating lights, flashing lights, flickering lights, LED illuminating bars and unlawfully equipped lamps.
