Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto on Monday pitched tents in Nairobi.
The meeting came a day after Azimio One Kenya Alliance held a series of rallies on Sunday.
Raila on Monday held no rally. He had an open day with journalists.
The alliance held a series of rallies to drum up support for their bid.
He was accompanied by Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja, and Langata member of parliament Nixon Korir among other leaders.
Ruto said mitumba business supports millions of Kenyans.
He pledged to support the local textile industries if he ascends to power in the August polls.
