Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan was sworn in for a new term on Monday during in a ceremony held at a military parade ground in Dodoma.

The ceremony took place under tight security at the capital, where uniformed officers, senior government officials, and dignitaries gathered for the swearing-in ritual.

The public was not allowed to attend the event, but the proceedings were broadcast live by state-run TBC, allowing citizens to follow the ceremony from their homes.
