Stronger Russian-African ties are key to shaping a fairer global order, Vice President of United Russia Alena Arshinova told Sputnik Africa.

“We need to build this common mental, cultural, educational space,” she stressed, calling for a shared system that fosters understanding across regions.

Promoting the Russian language, literature, and education is central to this effort — and so is resisting neocolonialism, she noted, speaking on the sidelines of the "Shaping the Future" International Education Ministers' Forum in Kazan.

On AI, she emphasized that Russia must develop its own sovereign platforms:

“We need to understand whether this AI has our cultural code, our values... The moral aspect is valuable here.”
