
Two people were killed in a suspected bomb explosion on Tuesday morning near a church in Uganda's capital, the military confirmed.
According to media agencies, the explosion was heard near a Roman Catholic shrine in Uganda's capital on Tuesday morning,
NBS Television said the explosion was caused by a suspected bomb near the Munyonyo Martyrs' Shrine in the south of the city.
Witnesses said the explosion occurred as two people on a motorbike approached the church.
“The explosive detonated midway towards the church. The sound was loud and it could be heard metres away, the witness told local media.
