The award was presented in the national capital of Dodoma by Speaker of Parliament Tulia Ackson, who praised Hassan for her transformative leadership, according to a statement by the Directorate of Presidential Communications.
Ackson said the honor, bestowed on behalf of all the members of parliament, symbolized their collective recognition and respect for the president's achievements.
"Under President Hassan's stewardship, Tanzania has undergone significant transformation," Ackson said, citing the implementation of major strategic projects and notable progress across key sectors including education, health, mining, tourism, transportation, agriculture, energy, and international diplomacy.
In her acceptance speech, Hassan expressed gratitude to the parliament for its support and oversight role, particularly through budget deliberations, legislative actions, and constructive recommendations that have enhanced government performance.
She also commended the lawmakers for their continued commitment to representing the interests of their constituents both within and beyond the parliamentary chamber.
