The High Court has granted three petitioners 60 days to complete their complaint against Kiambaa Constituency Development Funds boss Lorna Muthoni Njoroge.
Justice Byram Ongaya on Thursday gave the parties 60 days after the Parties confirmed that the complaint had been filed and there are ongoing correspondences.
“The matter was coming to confirm compliance with the directions for the petitioner to file an official complaint against the 1st Respondent before the NG-CDF," lawyer Shadrack Wambui for the petitioners told the court.
In the case, Richard Mulwa Musyoka, Richard Nzine, Nicholas Michael and Elizabeth Mumbi petitioned the court to have Lorna Muthoni Njoroge removed from office.
They argued that she is allegedly unfit to serve, claims that are yet to be substantiated.
However, Lorna has filed a preliminary objection saying that the court has no jurisdiction to hear the petition adding that it is premature.
"The application and the petition are mere schemes to perpetrate smear campaigns in an attempt to malign the second respondent's name," reads her application.
Further, she says that the petitioners have been hired and are representing her estranged lover as indicated in the witness statement filed in court.
She wants the application dismissed.
In May this year, Justice Byram Ongaya directed the petitioners to complain to the relevant offices adding that if they fail to do so then the matter will be struck out with no orders as to costs.
The matter will be mentioned for compliance and further directions on November 5.
