•She said Odinga arrived when Kibor's body had already been lowered into the grave and stayed at the home for about 20 minutes.

•"We didn't expect him at that time because the burial was almost over and we had even ruled out the possibility of his arrival," said Loyce.

Raila Odinga 's chopper was stoned on Friday.

The family of Mzee Jackson Kiprotiich Kibor has regretted the incident where a chopper carrying opposition chief Raila Odinga's team was stoned at Kabenes in Uasin Gishu.

The plane was stoned as Odinga's team left the burial of Kibor on Friday.

Kibor's daughter Loyce Kiibor says she regrets what happened but linked it to some rowdy youth in the area.

She said Odinga arrived when Kibor's body had already been lowered into the grave and stayed at the home for about 20 minutes.

"We didn't expect him at that time because the burial was almost over and we had even ruled out the possibility of his arrival," said Loyce.

She said they too didn't expect DP William Ruto because he had sent his condolences to the family.

Loyce said, as a family, they were not aware of any plan to attack Odinga, whom she said was a close friend of Kibor.

"We just urge that the issue be investigated properly," said Loyce.

She said her father loved peace and the burial had gone on smoothly until the ugly incident happened.

A resident of the area Joseph Samoei said Odinga was welcomed well in the area but trouble only started as Odinga's team left.
