Candidates sitting the July 2026 Business and Technical (B&T) examinations will take part in nationwide rehearsals on Friday as the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) finalises preparations for the assessments.

In a notice issued on Wednesday, KNEC said the official rehearsals will be conducted countrywide on Friday, July 17, and urged all candidates to attend as part of preparations for the examinations.

The council said the rehearsal exercise is intended to familiarise candidates with examination procedures and ensure they are fully prepared before the start of the papers.

"Official rehearsals will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, countrywide. This is a crucial step to ensure you are fully prepared for your upcoming exams," KNEC said.

Ahead of the rehearsals, the council advised candidates to review their examination timetables and verify key details to avoid last-minute inconveniences.

Candidates have been asked to confirm the dates and times of their examination papers, verify their examination centre details and index numbers, and note any specific instructions relating to practical or theory papers.

KNEC also urged candidates to report any discrepancies promptly to their centre managers instead of waiting until the examination day.

"Don't wait until the last minute. Talk to your centre manager today if you notice any discrepancies," the council said.

The rehearsals will give candidates an opportunity to confirm their details and familiarise themselves with examination procedures before the papers begin.

KNEC regularly conducts rehearsal sessions before the commencement of national examinations to help candidates verify their registration details, identify their examination rooms and understand the rules governing the administration of the tests.
