Police are investigating an incident in which the body of an unidentified man was dumped at the compound of a dispensary in Kikuyu, Kiambu County.

The body was taken to the James Gichuru Dispensary in the Nderi area on Sunday morning and left there by unknown people, police and facility management said.

The body of the man, aged about 30, had visible head injuries when it was abandoned in the compound.

Police said they moved the body to the mortuary pending further procedures, including identification and an autopsy.

Mystery surrounds the motive for the murder.

On Tuesday, police asked those whose relatives are missing to report to the local police station for investigations.

Elsewhere in Kahuro, Murang’a County, a body was found lying on a piece of land after a suspected murder.

The body was found in Githagara location and later identified as that of David Irungu Kamunya, 39.

It was moved to the mortuary for an autopsy and other procedures.

Police said no arrest had been made over the December 14 incident.

In Uthiru, a man was stoned to death after he was found harvesting yams from a farm.

The owner of the farm raised an alarm, and locals responded by stoning him to death. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations, police said.

In Nanyuki, police said they are investigating the death of Omar Juma Saidi, 58, in his house.

His body did not have any visible injuries at the time of discovery. It was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

In Luanda, Vihiga County’s Lwobela area, Jacob Apoka, 41, was found dead in his bed after a suspected murder.

The body had injuries to the legs, hands, face and back.
