
Police are investigating the death of a 32-year-old man, Boniface Onyango, who was fatally stabbed during a dispute with a neighbour in the Gichagi area of Ngong Town, Kajiado County.
Authorities said Onyango sustained stab wounds to the abdomen and back and was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The reasons behind the fight are not yet clear.
Following the incident, members of the community reportedly attacked the suspected assailant.
Police intervened and transported him to a hospital under guard for treatment.
Onyango’s body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.
The Ngong Town incident is part of a wider trend of violent cases across the country.
In Kapsowar, Elgeyo Marakwet County, a 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death of Philemon Kibet in the Kapsagar area.
Police have not disclosed the motive. The body was taken to the mortuary for autopsy.
In Nairobi, a man died after falling from the rear of a moving lorry along Kangundo Road in Dandora.
Police said the lorry was travelling from Kangundo to the city centre when the man lost his grip over a bump, sustaining fatal head injuries.
His body was taken to the mortuary for identification and autopsy.
In Emuhaya, Vihiga County, a 35-year-old man, Muyela Astwa, was killed after being attacked by a group of people who accused him of theft.
Police have urged the public to avoid mob justice and to surrender suspects to authorities for proper investigation and possible prosecution.
Meanwhile, in Kawangware, Nairobi, a 56-year-old man, Nyabuka Mzee, collapsed and died on Wednesday afternoon.
The cause of death is yet to be established. Mzee, known locally for making firewood, was taken to the mortuary for further examination.
Police continue to investigate all incidents and reiterate the need for disputes to be handled through legal channels. Individuals involved in mob justice cases or violent acts may face serious charges.
