The Ministry of Education will release the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) results.

The results will be released days after KNEC cautioned the public to be on the lookout for fraudsters claiming they can alter the national examinations results.

KNEC said it had received reports of individuals posting as “insiders” and promising to change grades in exchange for money.

The council dismissed the claims as a fraud scheme, stressing that no individual has the ability to access or manipulate examination marks.

Ruto to launch National Wildlife Census 2025 Report at KICC

President William Ruto to president over the launch of the National Wildlife Census 2025 Report.

The report will be launched at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), Tsavo Ballroom.

The Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Rebecca Miano and Principal Secretary, State Department of Wildlife, Silvia Museiya., will accompany Ruto.

The National Wildlife Census 2025 represents the most comprehensive assessment of Kenya’s wildlife populations, distribution trends, and ecosystem health.

This edition builds on cutting-edge scientific methods, advanced aerial and ground surveys, and robust data analytics to provide a clear picture of the state of our iconic species.

The findings will guide national policy, investment decisions, cross-agency collaboration, and community-centered conservation efforts.

Requiem service for late MP Hamisi set for today in Nairobi

A requiem service will be held for the late Nominated MP Denar Joseph Hamisi, at Ridgeways Baptist Church in Nairobi as from 9:30 am.

Hamisi succumbed to severe injuries after being involved in a fatal accident near his home on December 6.

An eyewitness said the MP was alone in his car, and that he died instantly due to the severity of the head injuries he sustained.

The late MP lost control of his SUV, and it veered off the road only for it to ram into a tree and end up in a ditch.

Hamisi was nominated to the National Assembly under the Amani National Congress (ANC) party following the 2022 General Election.

In Parliament, he served on the Departmental Committee on Sports and Culture, as well as the Select Committee on National Cohesion and Equal Opportunities, where he was praised for his diligence and commitment.

WERK marks 30 years with launch of ambitious 2026–2030 strategic plan

Women Educational Researchers of Kenya (WERK) will mark 30th anniversary celebration and the launch of the WERK 2026-2030 Strategic Plan.

WERK is marking a historic milestone of advancing education in Kenya through groundbreaking research, policy influence, and advocacy.

The event will be held at Swiss Lenana Mount Hotel, Ralph Bunche Road, Nairobi.

The event will feature Prof Fatuma Chege, Professor of Education at Kenyatta University and Presidential Awardee of the First-Class Order of the Chief of the Burning Spear (CBS), as our Chief Guest.

Held under the theme "WERK@30 Advancing Women and Girls," the celebration will spotlight WERK's transformative journey and plan, which lays the foundation for its Quantum Leap 2040 Vision.

This vision positions WERK as a regional powerhouse in education research, with four strategic priorities shaping the future of women and girls in education and development.  

Government Spokesperson Mwaura to brief media on 2025 Jamhuri Day plans 

Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura will address the media on Jamhuri Day celebrations to be marked tomorrow.

Mwaura will address the media at Nyayo Stadium at 10.30 am.

This year’s Jamhuri Day adopts the government’s new model of themed national holidays, with the 2025 theme focusing on Tourism, Wildlife, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).

President William Ruto is expected to announce major new tourism policies during his national address, signaling a renewed push to reposition Kenya as a global tourism powerhouse.

PS Mang’eni to launch BDS Classroom Training under Kenya’s KJET Project

Principal Secretary, State Department for MSMEs Development, Susan Mang’eni will officially launch Business Development Services (BDS) Classroom Training for Cohort 1 of the Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation (KJET) Project.

The Government of Kenya and the World Bank fund the KJET Project. This training falls under Component 2 of the project, which focuses on enhancing the productivity and competitiveness of MSME clusters through structured Business Development Services and co-investment support.

The training will be launched at Word of Faith Church Hall, Kiambu, from 9 am.
