
At least two minors were killed in a fire incident in Ntulele, Narok County.
According to authorities, the girls, aged nine and four, were inside a timber-and-iron-sheet house when it caught fire on Thursday, December 4, in the Kojanga area.
Police said the nine-year-old was a Grade Two pupil.
The children’s parents were not present at the time of the incident.
Officers said the cause of the fire is yet to be established.
The remains were taken to a mortuary pending an autopsy and further procedures.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
In Anabkoi, Uasin Gishu County, two construction workers died after falling from a high-rise building.
Police said the two were among a group of masons at the site when a ladder they were using collapsed, causing them to fall.
The victims—identified by police as Joseph Kadogi, 40, and Walter Imboza, 35—succumbed to their injuries in hospital.
Their bodies were moved to a local mortuary pending an autopsy. Investigations are underway.
Elsewhere in Kogelo, Siaya County, a miner died after a gold site collapsed on December 3.
Police said a group of miners was working in the shaft when the walls caved in, trapping 20-year-old Joram Opany. Seven others managed to escape.
In Cheptulu, Vihiga County, police reported that 28-year-old Bruno Mukuba was found unresponsive in his house after what was described as a long drinking spree.
Mukuba, a guard attached to a local security firm, was taken to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Police said a bottle of gin was recovered from the house.
In Birongo, Kisii County, 38-year-old Jared Machuki was found dead in an open borehole after having been missing for several days, according to police.
A relative discovered the body on Thursday and alerted neighbours and law enforcement.
The body was taken to the mortuary as investigations continue.
