Wiper Democratic Front candidate Antony Kisoi has been declared the winner of the Mumbuni North Ward by-election in Machakos County after securing 3,849 votes, solidifying the party’s strong presence in the region.

Kisoi clinched the seat with a clear lead over Harrison Wambua of the Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Party, who garnered 2,766 votes.

UDA’s Misi Mutua finished third with 809 votes, according to the official results announced by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

The announcement triggered wild celebrations across Mumbuni North, with Wiper supporters pouring into the streets to cheer the victory.

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, who was among the leaders present during the tallying, led jubilant supporters in chanting party slogans and congratulating the newly elected ward representative.
