A 14-year-old boy was found dead in a house where he had been recovering from a circumcision procedure in Ngarariga, Limuru, Kiambu.
Police said the body was discovered on November 20, 2025.
The boy had undergone circumcision on November 14 and had been placed under the care of three villagers.
Police said the three were not present when the body was found.
According to police, the boy’s grandmother, who had been bringing him food, became concerned when he did not go out to take porridge with his friends as he normally did.
She informed the boy’s mother, who later visited the house with a neighbour.
They found the boy unresponsive on the floor.
Police said the body had vomit around the mouth and blood from the nose, as well as bruises on the legs and marks on the thighs.
The cause of death will be determined through an autopsy.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
