
All eyes will be on President William Ruto as delivers the State of the Nation Address in Parliament.
The President will address a joint sitting of the Senate and the National Assembly, taking stock of national progress, outlining priority actions, and reaffirming Kenya’s direction under his leadership.
The President must also publish these details in the Kenya Gazette and submit to the National Assembly a report on Kenya’s progress in fulfilling its international obligations.
Last year, the address came weeks after the impeachment of his then deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, and amid controversy and public uproar over the Adani JKIA takeover.
The President announced the dropping of the Adani deal that was meant to support the renovation and construction of a new airport.
This declaration earned him a standing ovation from the parliamentarians.
He also used the same forum to champion the registration of the Social Health Authority (SHA).
Kindiki to attend burial of gospel star Betty Bayo along Kiambu Road
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki will attend the burial of gospel singer Betty Bayo in Mugumo Estate along Kiambu Road.
Bayo’s final public memorial service will be held at Ndumberi Stadium in Kiambu County before the burial.

CSs Mutua, Wahome to appear before senators over public building shutting out PWDs
The Senate Committee on Labour and Social Welfare will meet CSs Alfred Mutua (Labour & Social Protection) and Alice Wahome (Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development) wover a petition on the inaccessibility of public buildings and offices by persons with disabilities in Mombasa County.
The meeting will take place at Bunge Towers at 10 am.
Many public buildings in Mombasa remain largely inaccessible to persons with disabilities, exposing deep-seated infrastructural and policy shortcomings.
During a Senate inquiry, advocates testified that critical government offices and public facilities—such as Bima Towers—lack working lifts and ramps, forcing people in wheelchairs to be physically carried up stairs to access services.
