Detectives are investigating the death of a 22-year-old college student who was stabbed in the Kamulu area of Nairobi County on Friday at dawn.

According to police, the man was involved in an argument with a group of friends shortly before the incident.

Investigators said they had received claims that the dispute involved a woman but stressed that the circumstances were still under review.

No arrests had been made by Friday morning.

Witnesses told police the group had earlier been seen arguing in the Twin Bird area before the man was stabbed in the chest.

The group reportedly included both men and women.

The body was taken to a mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.

In a separate incident in Kawangware, Nairobi, a man identified as Elvis Adogo died after he was stabbed during an argument.

Witnesses reported to police that the confrontation started after he allegedly declined to give groundnuts to another man.

Police said the disagreement escalated into a fight, during which Adogo was stabbed in the chest.

He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Officers said they are searching for the suspected assailant.

Meanwhile, in Kehancha, Migori County, police are probing the death of Stephen Simoku Gibore, whose body was found in an open field with injuries on the head.

The motive remains unclear. The body was taken to a mortuary for autopsy as investigations continue.

In Watamu, Kilifi County, police arrested a suspect after a man who had been assaulted on October 16, 2025, died in hospital.

Police said Rashid Fodo succumbed to his injuries on November 12.

The suspect is expected to face murder charges.

Police say they are handling several homicide investigations reported across the country in recent weeks.

According to officers, some cases have been solved while others remain under investigation.
