
The Member of Parliament for Isiolo South Constituency, Tubi Bidu Mohamed, has passed away.
In a statement released on Wednesday evening, November 12, 2025, Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula announced the legislator’s death, describing it as a profound loss to Parliament and the nation.
“It is with profound deep sorrow that I inform you and the nation of the demise of our esteemed colleague, the Member for Isiolo South Constituency, Tubi Bidu Mohamed, MP, who has left us this evening, Wednesday, 12th November 2025, while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital,” the Speaker said.
Until his death, Tubi Bidu served as a Member of the Departmental Committee on Environment, Forestry and Mining, and the Public Petitions Committee.
He was serving his first term in the National Assembly. Before joining Parliament, he was the inaugural Speaker of the Isiolo County Assembly, a position he held until 2017.
As the House mourns his passing, Speaker Wetang’ula paid tribute to the late MP’s dedication and service.
“As we come to terms with this great loss, let us remember Tubi for his remarkable service and the positive impact he had on our nation. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, constituents and all those who had the privilege of knowing him,” he said.
The Speaker noted that further details will be communicated in due course.
“May his soul rest in eternal peace,” the statement concluded.
On his part, Health CS Aden Duale said the MP was a respected elder and a dedicated leader who served his constituents with commitment and humility since his election in 2022.
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Today, our nation, and especially the people of Northern Kenya, mourn the passing of Hon. Mohamed Tubi, MP for Isiolo South, who succumbed after a long illness," Duale said.
