All five supporters of the late Raila Amolo Odinga who lost their lives during the tragic incidents at Kasarani and Nyayo Stadium, during the public body viewing, have now been laid to rest.
Their bodies had remained at the City Mortuary for weeks as their families struggled to raise funds for burial.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, through his Sonko Rescue Team, stepped in to cover all funeral expenses including transport, coffins, and burial costs ensuring the victims received a dignified send-off.

Evans Onyango Kiche, a resident of Ruai, was shot in the chest and laid to rest on November 10, 2025, in Homa Bay County, while Vincent Otieno Ogutu of Umoja along Kangundo Road, who was shot in the head and eye, was buried on November 9, 2025, in Rongo, Migori County.
Sonko paid Sh35,000 to Chiromo and Sh18,000 to the City Mortuary to clear the accumulated bills.

Sonko confirmed that his team worked closely with the bereaved families to ensure all victims were buried with dignity.
“My team was committed to ensuring all victims are laid to rest respectfully. May their souls rest in eternal peace. I paid all the bills, including mortuary fees and upkeep. Unfortunately, all Baba’s supporters were left behind to suffer, even by some of those who claimed to be supporting Baba, for example,even Nairobi Governor Sakaja who was rescued by Baba from an impeachment " Sonko said.
