

Police in Baringo County are investigating a gruesome incident in which a 55-year-old woman was fatally stabbed following a suspected love triangle dispute in Kolowa.
The victim, identified as Bartany Chela, was found dead under a grass-thatched store with her private parts severely mutilated.
Police said the killing occurred on Friday afternoon after an altercation with her husband over alleged infidelity.
The suspect, believed to be the husband, was arrested while attempting to flee the area.
Police said he is expected to be arraigned once investigations are complete.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending a postmortem examination.
In Malaika, Kakamega County, a confrontation between two cousins turned deadly when one of them died following a violent fight.
Police said Stephene Shikundi, 33, succumbed to injuries after being stabbed in the forehead during a dispute over land.
He was rushed to hospital but later died while undergoing treatment.
The suspect fled the scene and is being pursued by police. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Authorities say such domestic and land-related murders have been on the rise despite ongoing efforts to address the trend.
Elsewhere, in Keroka, Nyamira County, a 54-year-old man identified as Juma Keya was attacked and fatally injured by unknown assailants as he walked home.
According to his wife, Keya managed to reach home and reported that he had been attacked along the Nyasore–Metamaywa road before collapsing.
He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Police said the motive of the attack remains unclear as investigations continue.
In Nyamarambe, Kisii County, another man, George Ntabo, 40, died after being assaulted by unknown people.
Police said his attackers fled the scene and investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, in Gongoni, Kilifi County, police have arrested a suspect accused of fatally assaulting a police officer on October 25, 2025.
The suspect had been on the run and was captured on October 31 in Kurawa, Tana River County.
He is accused of assaulting Constable Elkana Plimo of Ngomeni Police Station.
The suspect remains in custody pending further action.
Separately, detectives in Ngewa, Kiambu County, are investigating the murder of an unidentified man whose body was found in a coffee plantation.
The victim had multiple injuries, and police said the motive of the killing was not immediately known.
The body was taken to the mortuary pending a postmortem.
In Lamu County, a British national was found dead at his residence in Shella.
Police identified the deceased as Wheeler Peter Spencer, 68, who was on holiday in Kenya.
According to police, Spencer died while seated at his desk with his laptop open.
A caretaker reported hearing him scream before finding him unresponsive.
The Briton had spent the day surfing before retiring to his room.
Efforts to resuscitate him failed, and his body was later
moved to the mortuary for examination
