

Police in Nakuru County are investigating an incident in which a 26-year-old man was stabbed to death during a fight with his neighbour in Kuresoi.
According to police reports, the deceased, identified as Hilary Kipkoech, was attacked during an altercation in Nyota area and left critically injured.
He succumbed to his injuries shortly after the assault.
Officers said the suspect, who is Kipkoech’s neighbour, also stabbed and injured his own brother during the confrontation before fleeing the scene. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect.
The body of the deceased was moved to the mortuary for post-mortem examination as investigations continue.
In Kobujoi, Nandi County, police are probing another fatal stabbing incident involving a secondary school student.
The victim, identified as Dismus Kiptoo, 19, a Form Three student at Kimaren Secondary School, was reportedly attacked with a pair of scissors by another person following a quarrel.
The teenager sustained a deep stab wound to the neck and was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police said a 17-year-old juvenile has been arrested in connection with the killing and is being held for questioning.
The motive of the attack has not yet been established.
The body of the student was moved to the mortuary for an autopsy.
Officers who visited the scene expressed concern about possible retaliatory attacks and called for calm as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, in Mai-Hihi area of Karai, Kiambu County, police are investigating a fire incident that claimed the life of a farm worker.
The deceased, identified as John Kingoo, 47, was reportedly asleep in his servant’s quarters when a fire broke out in the early hours of October 28, 2025.
Local residents
managed to contain the blaze, but Kingoo’s remains were later found in the
burnt structure.
Police said the cause of the fire has not yet been established. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.
Elsewhere in Kabarnet, Baringo County, seven construction workers were injured when a building under construction at the Kenya School of Government – Baringo Campus collapsed.
Police said the four-storey structure gave way as concrete was being poured on the upper floors, causing the formwork to cave in.
The injured workers were rushed to Baringo County Referral Hospital for treatment. Investigations into the cause of the collapse are ongoing.
Meanwhile, in Kisumu County, detectives are investigating the discovery of 35 rounds of ammunition in a house in the Milimani area.
Police said the bullets, believed to be 9mm calibre, were found by a cleaner who was tidying the residence after the previous tenant had vacated. It was not immediately clear whether the tenant was a licensed firearm holder.
The bullets were recovered and taken into police custody for
safe keeping as investigations continue.
