Detectives are investigating the discovery of a female body in Ngong Forest in Nairobi.
Police said a team was passing through
the forest on October 3, 2025, when they stumbled on the body.
The body had decomposed when it was discovered and was later moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
The motive of
the murder is yet to be known.
The body is lying in a mortuary pending
identification and other procedures, police said on Sunday.
Elsewhere in Riruta, Nairobi, a man
was found dead on a sofa set in a house where he had sought refuge.
Police said the man, identified as
Solomon Kaumbi, had visited a friend’s house on Saturday morning and sought a
place to sleep.
He was bleeding, but the host did not realise the same.
He allowed him into the house and let him sleep on the sofa.
In the
morning, he found Kaumbi unresponsive with his clothes soaked in blood.
The man had a stab wound in the right thigh when the body
was found, police said.
The motive of the murder was not immediately established.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
In Ngong area, one Esther Wakabari, 26, was found
dead in her bed.
The police said the woman had a deep
cut on her right toe. Blood was also oozing from her nose when the body was
found in the house.
The police said they are investigating a murder in the incident.
The motive is yet to be known, and the body was moved to a local mortuary pending an autopsy.
Meanwhile, the body of a woman was found on the roadside
after her murder in Kenyenya village, Kisii County.
The body of the woman had
injuries on the neck and appeared to have been burned using a chemical.
The body seemed to have also been
delivered and dumped at the scene where it was found, police said of the Saturday
incident.
Police said they are investigating a murder in the incident, and they are yet to establish the motive so far.

Elsewhere in Rabai, Kilifi County, one Hussein Kumba, 66, was killed in an attack by unknown people in Ruruma area.
Police said the man was rushed to the hospital, where he
succumbed to the injuries.
Police said the deceased had three
deep cuts on the back of his head. He was alone at his home when he was fatally assaulted by the assailants.
The motive was not known, police said, adding there were blood stains in the compound when a team arrived there to
pursue the matter.
Police said they arrested three
suspects in connection with the murder.
