
President William Ruto will officially open the 2025 Nairobi International Trade Fair at the Jamhuri Showgrounds.
Over 300 exhibitors from various sectors of the economy, including international participants from China, India, Ghana, Tanzania, South Africa, Canada and Nigeria, will feature in this year’s event.
The event is recognised as one of the region’s largest trade
exhibitions, showcasing innovations in agriculture, livestock, agribusiness and
trade, and attracting exhibitors from across Kenya and beyond.
This year’s theme is “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.”
The Office of Inspector General, National Police Service, will hold a press conference on the forthcoming recruitment of police constables.
The briefing will be held at NPC Embakasi ‘A’ Campus (formerly APTC Embakasi) from 10.30 am.
The 2025 Kenya police recruitment for new constables had been slated for September 2025, with a nationwide exercise announced by President William Ruto in August.
The process is primarily online through the National Police Service (NPS) portal, with applications submitted by October 9, 2025, followed by reporting for training on November 17.
NPSC has since announced that the exercise will take place between Friday, October 3, and Thursday, October 9, 2025, covering all 47 counties.
The upcoming exercise represents one of the largest police recruitment initiatives in recent years, covering nearly every sub-county across Kenya

Reports indicated that up to 5,000 people will be attending the meeting with the DP.
Kindiki has been visiting the Ukambani region extensively. He has toured various parts of Ukambani, including Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, and Embu counties.
His visits involved economic empowerment engagements, community development programs, and preparing the ground for President William Ruto's planned tour of the region.

Aga Khan University to host youth suicide forum
The Aga Khan University's Brain and Mind Institute (BMI), in partnership with the Science for Africa Foundation (SFA Foundation) will host the Youth Suicide Prevention Forum.
The forum will spotlight local research, policy, and community-driven strategies to prevent suicide while reflecting on Kenya's 2023 decriminalisation of suicide, the urgent need to expand affordable, youth-friendly access to mental health services, and the persistent stigma around the issue.
The forum will convene persons with lived experience, researchers, and policymakers to generate actionable recommendations and mobilise multi-sector commitment to reducing suicide across East Africa and the continent.
The meeting will be held at the Exhibition Hall, Aga Khan University Centre, from 8.30 am.
