MCK, Katiba Institute and CAJ to host International Day for Access to Information

The Media Council of Kenya (MCK), in collaboration with the Katiba Institute and the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), will host the International Day for Access to Information at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi from 8 am.

The event will be held under the theme "Ensuring Access to Environmental Information in the Digital Age".

The theme underscores the increasing need to facilitate timely, comprehensive, and cross-border access to information amidst escalating climate and ecological crises.

The event will be led by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy.

The organizers note that the digital divide continues to restrict access to information, which is crucial in fostering transparency, public participation, and accountability in environmental and climate governance.
