A 21-year-old passenger has been charged after allegedly assaulting five people during a flight from Dubai to London.
According to the Daily Mail, the man was reported to have boarded the aircraft intoxicated on March 13, before committing the alleged offences while the plane was at 39,000 feet.
He faces charges of sexually assaulting one female passenger and assaulting four others, including a male cabin crew member.
Prosecutors also stated that his actions endangered the aircraft.
The charges include one count of sexual assault, five counts of assault by beating, one count of endangering an aircraft, two counts of racially aggravated intentional harassment, and one count of using threatening or abusive words likely to cause harassment.
Additional charges allege that he failed to obey lawful orders from the pilot, intentionally interfered with the duties of an aircraft crew member, and boarded the aircraft while intoxicated.
During his appearance at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court, he confirmed his personal details but did not enter a plea.
Prosecutor Ravinder Chodha told the court that the alleged incidents occurred during the flight from Dubai to London.
The passenger is accused of engaging in harassment, racial abuse, and failing to follow the pilot’s commands.
Magistrate Nigel Shock directed that the case be sent to Isleworth Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on October 24, 2025.
The accused was released on bail with conditions and was warned that failing to attend future court proceedings would result in further action.
