Governor George Natembeya has reconstituted his cabinet following the exit of four county executive committee members.

During a swearing-in ceremony held at the Town Hall county offices in Kitale, four new executives took the oath of office: Kerio Lorot (Water and Environment), Pius Gumo (Lands), Eliud Tormoi (Gender and Youth), and Robert Wamalwa (Public Service Management).

Wamalwa replaces Julia Ruto, while Tormoi takes over from Stanley Kirui.

Speaking at the event, Governor Natembeya said the reshuffle was aimed at strengthening service delivery in the county.

He noted that some of the changes were also linked to the impending expiry of contracts for six other executives, adding that those interested in renewal had been asked to reapply.

“One of the current executives has opted not to seek renewal and will be leaving for family reasons,” the governor disclosed.
