President William Ruto on Monday witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry and Linglong Group for the establishment of a state-of-the-art auto parts Industrial Park in Kenya.

The MoU was signed in Kilifi County.

The agreement paves the way for the Chinese firm to set up advanced manufacturing facilities that will support Kenya’s automotive sector.

The industrial park is expected to boost local production of auto parts, reduce import dependence, create jobs, and strengthen Kenya’s position as a regional hub for vehicle assembly.

President Ruto welcomed the partnership, saying it aligns with his administration’s agenda of attracting foreign investment, promoting industrialisation, and expanding opportunities for Kenyan workers.

Present were several Cabinet Secretaries, Governors, elected leaders and senior officials from Linglong Group.
