The march, which began at the Milimani Law Courts, was a representation of the justice system Mbobu served.

It was attended by a broad array of legal and civil society figures.

Among those in attendance were former Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Senior Counsel Kalonzo Musyoka, Ipoa chair Issack Hassan, former DPP Philip Murgor, Senior Counsel Pravin Bowry and other civil society representatives.

Their presence conveyed collective outrage and grief over the tragic loss.

The marchers proceeded along Kenyatta Avenue with purpose and resolve, ensuring their message reached far and wide.

A solemn moment was observed when the procession stopped at Town House where the late advocate Mbobu’s office was located.

The stop provided a reflective space to honour his commitment to justice and the rule of law.

The march concluded at Vigilance House, where LSK presented a petition to the Inspector General Douglas Kanja.

The petition detailed the legal community's concerns, demands for accountability and urgent calls for enhanced protection of legal practitioners.

LSK said the march was not just a protest but a declaration and a call for accountability and protection of those upholding the rule of law.

"The society immensely appreciates the membership for the solidarity and support," the LSK said in a statement, thanking participants for standing together in such a critical moment.

The march demonstrates the legal community's resilience, unity and resolve to ensure that justice for advocate Mbobu is not only demanded but delivered.

Mbobu was shot dead by an unknown assailant as he waited in traffic on Magadi Road on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 as he headed home.
