
President William Ruto will receive letters of credence from nine newly appointed ambassadors to Kenya at a ceremony at State House, Nairobi, starting at 10 a.m.
It is customary for ambassadors to present their letters of credence to the President before officially beginning their tenure.
This comes barely a week after Ruto received letters from another group of envoys appointed to serve in Kenya.
The letters, presented personally by each ambassador-designate, mark the formal start of their ambassadorship and strengthen diplomatic ties between their countries and Kenya.
Kalonzo to address Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung’s youth forum
Wiper Patriotic Front party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka will be the chief guest speaker at the Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung’s “Youth Building Bridges” meeting.
Kalonzo will address the meeting, whose theme is “Strengthening Inter-Party Cooperation for the Young Generation”, at 10 am
The forum will take place over two days at Nairobi's Ufungamano Hall.
The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) is a German political foundation affiliated with the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the centre-right political party in Germany.
It's named after Konrad Adenauer, the first Chancellor of West Germany after World War II and one of the key figures in shaping modern German democracy.
KAS organises seminars, workshops, and lectures in Germany to promote civic engagement and democratic values.
It is active in over 120 countries through around 100 offices worldwide and supports democratic institutions, rule of law, human rights, and social market economies.
Innovation and investment leaders to gather at Delta40 for climate tech dialogue
Leading voices in innovation, investment, and ecosystem building will convene at Delta40 Studio, Amani Gardens, and Westlands for a knowledge-sharing event on climate action in Africa.
The event will spotlight how entrepreneurs and entrepreneur support organisations (ESOs) are moving beyond programme delivery to become critical ecosystem builders, mobilising capital.
It will highlight how ESOs are supporting entrepreneurs at their most vulnerable stages and unlocking the pipeline of innovations needed for a sustainable future.
The event will be held from 5.30 pm. It will offer participants a chance to connect directly with climate tech innovators, ESOs, funders, and investors across Africa.
EACC to explain implementation of Senate oversight recommendations
The EACC will appear before the County Public Accounts Committee (CPAC) of the Senate to explain the status of implementation of the committee’s recommendations.
The meeting will be held at Bunge Towers, second floor, from 10 am.
On March 27, 2025, the Senate adopted its Select Committee's reports on the Auditor-General's reports for the 2023/2024 financial year for the 47 county executives and county assemblies.
The Senate also adopted the committee's recommendations on the financial statements and fiduciary risk assessments for these counties.
