SHA shortlists 38 applicants for various director positions

SHA received a total of 494 applications for the four director positions advertised, but 38 were shortlisted.

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced the shortlisting of candidates for several director positions.

This follows a public advertisement for the positions on July 29, 2025. Applications for the roles closed on August 19, 2025.

The Authority received a total of 494 applications for the four director positions advertised. Out of these, 38 applicants were shortlisted to proceed to the interview stage, while the remaining 456 were not shortlisted.

The interviews are scheduled to take place at the Social Health Authority Headquarters, on the 10th floor, in Nairobi.

SHA has shortlisted 10 candidates for the position of Director, Provider and Beneficiary Management and will be interviewed on September 9, 2025.

Interviews for the Director, Corporate Services (Nine shortlisted candidates ), Director, Benefits and Claims Management (10 shortlisted candidates) and Director, Funds and Finance Management (Nine candidates) are slated for September 10, 2025.

Among those shortlisted for the director, Provider and Beneficiary Management position include Hazel Jemutai, James Letangule, Jacob Muia, Fardosa Ali and Wliberforce Walubengo.

Those shortlisted for the Director, Corporate Services position include Jackline Leitich, Mohammed Alio Ibrahim, Festus Musyoki and Phyllis Nyakiba.

The shortlist for Director, Benefits and Claims Management position includes Samson Kuhora, Solomon Omariba, Julia Ouko and Kandie Ng'ochoch.

Some of those shortlisted for the Director Funds and Finance Management position include Peter Mutui, Justin Orang'i, Bernard Cheruiyot, Jonathan Leisen and Caren Oduor.

Shortlisted applicants have been directed to arrive at the interview venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled time.

They are required to bring original copies of several documents, including their National Identity Card, academic and professional certificates, and transcripts.

SHA said candidates must provide valid clearances from key institutions such as the Higher Education Loans Board, Kenya Revenue Authority, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Police Clearance), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (Duly stamped Self-Declaration Form/Acknowledgement by EACC) and letters of recognition of qualifications from the Commission for University Education (CLE) for degrees from foreign universities.

They should also have recommendation letters or certificates of good standing from the relevant professional bodies and associations (where applicable), and any other supporting documents and testimonials.

SHA has also extended an invitation to the public to provide any adverse information regarding the shortlisted candidates.

"Members of the public are invited to provide any adverse information relating to any of the shortlisted applicants to the Chairperson, Social Health Authority Board," the statement read.

Such information should be submitted via email to [email protected] by September 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
