Scheduled a month before the Fair, the forum orients exhibitors on ASK’s participation guidelines, rules and best
practices, while also offering a platform for networking, sharing insights, and
familiarising with logistics for the highly anticipated seven-day event.
This year’s Nairobi International Trade Fair
will run from September 29 to October 5 under the theme “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for
Sustainable Economic Growth.”
The event is recognised as one of the region’s largest trade exhibitions,
showcasing innovations in agriculture, livestock, agribusiness and trade, and
attracting exhibitors from across Kenya and beyond.
ASK Chief Executive Officer Bertram Muthoka said
the forums are designed to highlight innovation and strengthen Kenya’s position
in trade and agriculture.
“The platforms showcase innovations,
technology and solutions that draw thousands of visitors, stimulate economic
growth and strengthen Kenya’s position as a hub for agricultural and trade
excellence,” said the CEO.
Joseph Washington Mugo, the Chairman of the
Nairobi International Trade Fair, emphasised that this year’s theme speaks to
the evolving needs of the sector.
“This year we convene under the theme promoting climate-smart agriculture and trade
initiatives for sustainable economic growth while aligning with our
ever-changing world, fostering sustainable growth through improved agricultural
practices and strategic trade partnerships,” he said.
On his part, Lawrence Njeru, Head of Corporate
Marketing and Membership at the Kenya Association of Manufacturers, underscored
A.S.K’s ongoing efforts to support exhibitors.
“A.S.K remains steadfast in our responsibility
to provide an enabling environment that meets the needs of our stakeholders.
Over the past year, we have implemented a series of initiatives designed to
enhance your experience and ensure that our brand remains strong, responsive
and relevant,” said Njeru.
Founded in 1901, ASK is a non-political,
