Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen will on
Thursday take his Jukwaa la Usalama engagement to Nyeri County.
The visit is part of a five-day tour of the Central Kenya
Region under the Jukwaa la Usalama banner that began on Monday, August 18.
Murkomen started the sessions in Kiambu County, where he listened
to locals’ grievances.
The grassroots engagement tour convenes ordinary people,
Assistant Chiefs, Chiefs, local leaders and top echelons of security and
National Government Administrative Officers to discuss security issues, service
delivery concerns, and welfare challenges.
A typical county tour features a security meeting, a
courtesy call on the governor, and an inspection of civil and ID registration
exercises, with the highlight being a town hall meeting.
